In 1994 Haver & Boecker acquired the Behn & Bates company, which deals in filling valve-type and open bags at food industry. The Haver & Boecker Group also includes IBAU Hamburg, which has over 25 years’ experience in bulk loading and storage equipment with all kinds of land and marine applications.

Newtec Bag Palletizing is a manufacturer of automatic palletizing systems, and has been a member of the HAVER Group since June, 2012. This new subsidiary company, with headquarters in Illzach (France), has been active in the palletizing systems industry for 40 years. The company provides solutions to the chemicals, fertiliser, cement, lime, gypsum and building material industries.

Aventus ‒ Perfect packaging technology for free flowing bulk products

AVENTUS is specialized on solutions for the packing of free-flowing loose goods up to finished pallets. The joint company by the market leaders HAVER & BOECKER and WINDMÖLLER & HÖLSCHER was officially founded in June 2018. Each company is holding a 50% share. NEWTEC, the former HAVER & BOECKER subsidiary specialized in palletizing, is a 100% subsidiary of AVENTUS.

With access to products of both HAVER & BOECKER and WINDMÖLLER & HÖLSCHER, AVENTUS covers the entire value-creation chain. The portfolio of AVENTUS includes filling technology for open bags, FFS bags and big bags as well as palletizing and load securing technology.

AVENTUS is in the build-up phase right now. By 2020 it will have its own R&D and other functions with headquarters located in Germany, on-site production will follow in 2021. NEWTEC as a second production site will continue to be in Alsace, France.

The name AVENTUS is derived from the names of both parent companies. “Avena means Hafer (the German word for oats), and ventus means wind. The new name symbolizes the unification of the best of both companies.
